Sandra “Sandy” Cagle Grissom, 75, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Tishomingo County, MS and was retired from Halsen as secretary where she had worked for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and was known as “Nana” to all of her family.
Services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Jeff Holt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Forrest Grove Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Kendra Scruggs (Matthew Rogers) and Makaylee Wagner; four great-grandchildren, Lathan Rogers, Novaleigh Evetts, Ian James Wagner and Dalen Rogers; two nieces, Jennifer Heatherly and Kasey Watson (Jason); great-nephews, Dustin Farris (Jenny), Brodi Pounds (Mary), Gregory Blanton (Briana), AJ Blanton (Emily), JD Watson, Hunter Watson and Terry Watson and great-nieces and nephews, Oakleigh, Layni and Levi Pounds and soon to be Bryce Farris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grissom, her parents, Nolan Dempsey Cagle and Velta Berlene Wanner Cagle; a brother, Nolan Dale Cagle; a daughter, Cindy Coggins and two nephews, Gregory Cagle and Perry Heatherly.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Farris, Brodi Pounds, Gregory Blanton, AJ Blanton, Hunter Watson and Lathan Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Holland and Matthew Rogers.
