Ruth Jean King Edwards, 99, of Ripley, Tennessee passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Asbury Cove Assisted Living in Ripley. Visitation will begin at 12 PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in Holmes Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards, a retired employee of Tupperware, was a member of Gates Baptist Church.
The widow of James Monroe Edwards, she is survived by a daughter Patricia Costa of Stuart, FL; two sons Bill Edwards of Beaumont, TX and Larry Edwards of Memphis; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons James Lee Edwards and David Robert Edwards.
