Juanita West McCarley was born September 24, 1947, to Russell D.West, Sr, and Marjorie (Gibson) West in Franklin County, AL.
Nita accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of Russellville, AL.
Nita met and married the love of her life, Terry E. McCarley and they recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. Nita and Terry had two daughters: Teresa (Jim) Tidwell and Wendy (Attila) Morgan.
Nita departed this life on Sunday August 18, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Terry E. McCarley, daughters Teresa (Jim) Tidwell and Wendy (Attila) Morgan, six grandchildren; John Sebastian (Alyson) King, Rachel Morgan, Savannah (Jacob) Evans, Ashlynn Morgan, Brittan Morgan and Grant Morgan. Nita had two great grandchildren she was devoted to: Clover and Zelda King. She is survived by siblings Wanda Pounders, Russell West, Jr., and Vallita Atchley.
Nita was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
