
Mr. Gary Rochell was born in West Point in Lawrence County, TN on May 06, 1935 to his parents the late Mr. William Richard Rochell and Mrs. Bertha E. Kelly Rochell. Mr. Rochell spent his childhood in the beautiful countryside of his childhood home in the Lawrenceburg area adapting an appreciation for the outdoors.
In his early adult years, he would proudly serve in the United States Military completing a four-year Tour of Duty.
Later, he would meet Ms. Linda Simmons and the two would wed, forever intertwining their hearts and lives on September 09, 1975. Together they would set roots in Wayne County TN raising their family in the admonition of the Lord and making precious memories together.
He being spiritually minded, was a long-time member of the Collinwood Church of God where he loved worshiping and spending time with his church family.
Throughout his adult life Mr. Rochell would find success in various different vocations, most notably as a barber and owner of the Rochell Building Supply in Waynesboro, TN meeting many people and making friends in his community.
In his leisure moments he could be found enjoying the outdoors golfing with his friends. However, he held no other moments in life closest to his heart than the time he spent with his wife, children and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gary Rochell passed from this life on August 21, 2025 at his home in Collinwood, TN surrounded by his family making his stay on this earth some 90 years, 3 months and 15 days.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 49 years Mrs. Linda Rochell of Collinwood, TN; son Barry and wife Julie of Athens, AL; daughter Katrena Rochell and significant other Tim Fowler of Clifton, TN; grandchildren Adam Crews and wife Angela, Kyle Crews and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren Aidan Crews, Luke Crews, Jacob Crews and Ellinor Crews; special nieces and nephew Levi Rochell, Knox Rochell and Kyndle Rochelle as well as several other nieces and nephews; siblings Thomas, Kenneth, Joy and Elena; also many other family members, friends and dear loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Bruce, Obren, Judith, Ray, Ed, David, Floyce, Joan and Lois.
