Hanceville Man Dies From Injuries Received In Head-On-Collision With Tractor-Trailer

HOLLY POND-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle crash that has taken the life of a Hanceville man:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday, August 21, has claimed the life of a Hanceville man.

Damian P. McCluskey, 25, was fatally injured when the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that he was driving collided head-on with the 2021 Mack Pinnacle tractor-trailer driven by Robert A. Nickel, 65, of Holly Pond. After the collision, the Chevrolet left the roadway and overturned. McCluskey was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced at the scene of crash.

The crash occurred on Alabama 91 near Cullman County 697, approximately two miles south of Holly Pond, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
