James Tesseneer, 87, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Dennis, MS to James Hue Tesseneer and Evie Hicks Tesseneer. He worked in maintenance at Cooper Tire and was a Baptist minister. He served in the Air National Guard.
Services will be Wednesday, August 20, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Brandon Sparks and Jeff Holt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three children, Cindy Tesseneer, Eric Tesseneer and Johnny Tesseneer (Amanda); seven grandchildren, Atley, Anna, Kimberly, Sierra, James Tyler, Chris and Adriana Tesseneer; one brother, Dwight Tesseneer and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Howard, Sid and David Tesseneer and a sister, Martha Lee Underwood.
Pallbearers will be Mark Tesseneer, Atley Tesseneer, James Tesseneer, Chris Tesseneer, Conner Thompson, Shawn Tesseneer and Bentley Holt.
