Marty Lynn Thompson age 60 of Athens passed away Tuesday at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Thompson was born July 23, 1965 in Limestone County, Alabama, he was a United States Army Veteran and was employed by Robins & Morton as a construction superintendent. A celebration of life service will be 2 pm Friday at the Valley Event Center with Toney Wales officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 pm until service. Marty is survived by his Wife, Suzanne Thompson of Athens. Sons, Brandon (Andi) Thompson of Ardmore, Alabama. Shane (Haley) Thompson of Athens. and Val Rainey of Chicago, IL. Daughter, Savannah (Ben) White of Athens. His beloved dog, Panda. Grandchildren, Jaylynn, Isaac, Adrey, Magnus, Summer, Destany and Thompson. Brothers, Lavoy Thompson and Garth Thompson both of Ardmore, Alabama. Sisters, Sharon Mason of Huntsville. Marie Ezell of Athens. Gayle Thompson of Foley, Alabama. Stephanie Riggle of Huntsville.
