Mrs. Bettye Britton Simpson age 83 of McMinnville TN died Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at her residence. She was born July 26, 1942, in McMinnville, TN, was the former owner-operator of Grandma Bettye’s Day Care, and a member of Covenant Fellowship Church. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by parents Thomas Richmond and Jonnie Idella Officer Roberson, husband Jerry Simpson, Sr., son Rodney, Duane Roberson, daughter Darrah Nichole Walters, sisters Eunetta McGlothan and Pandora Belle Roberson, and brothers Thomas Richmond Roberson, Jr. and Michael Roberson.
Survivors include her children Randy Ricardo Roberson with Rhonda Winton, Jerry (Bertha) Simpson, Jr., and Panita Hernandez, sisters Martha Jane Stone, Angela Lee Roberson, and Pamela Ann (Tony) Young. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M. Noon, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Covenant Fellowship Church, 7225 Manchester Hwy., Morrison, TN 37357. Dr. Dean Northcutt officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on the day of service.
