Morgan County Drug Enforcement Unit Arrest Suspect On Search Warrant Charged With Drug Trafficking And Other Charges

DECATUR-On August 13, 2025, Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant in the 500-block of Walnut Ct NW in Decatur, AL. Upon arrival, Agents made contact with Victor Karl Banks II, 45 of Decatur along with a juvenile female. Banks was immediately placed under arrest for a misdemeanor warrant with Morgan County.

During a search of the residence, Agents located numerous items of evidentiary value located in the detached garage. While searching, Agents recovered marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets, synthetic cannabinoids, THC vape pens, drug paraphernalia items, items believed to be used in narcotics manufacturing processes, and quantities of substances that field tested positive as fentanyl that had a weight in excess of one pound.

Banks was additionally charged with:
▪️Trafficking in Illegal Drugs-Fentanyl
▪️Chemical Endangerment of a Child
▪️Possession of Marijuana 1st degree
▪️Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – MDMA
▪️Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Synthetic Cannabinoids
▪️Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
▪️Obstruction of Justice Using a False Identity
▪️Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
▪️Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs.
Banks was transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail with a total bond of $850,600.00.
The items of evidence seized pursuant to the search warrant will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for further chemical analysis and confirmation. At that time, additional charges are possible.
