15-Hour Manhunt In Marion County For Murder Suspect Ends With Arrest

HAMILTON-As the investigation into this case continues, it has led to an additional arrest. Kenneth Stewart has been taken into custody and is charged with Aiding and Abetting Capital Murder and Obstructing Governmental Operations.
We remain committed to thoroughly pursuing all leads and ensuring justice is served.

Following an approximately 15-hour coordinated manhunt, involving the combined efforts of multiple local, state, and federal agencies, Tristen Amani Stewart has been located and is currently in custody at the Marion County Jail, charged with Capital Murder – with additional charges pending.

Stewart was safely apprehended on August 16, 2025, at approximately 11:15 AM, without further incident.
Stewart was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Stewart Road in Hamilton, Alabama, on the evening of August 15, 2025. He is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Taylor Dudley Stewart, and of shooting and seriously injuring their nearly two-year-old daughter, all within the same residence.
Due to the sensitive nature of this ongoing investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
