Rodney Lee Smith, 53, of Waterloo, passed away, Sunday, August 10, 2025. Visitation will be Friday August 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The Funeral will be Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with brother Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will be at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
He enjoyed be being outdoors, arrowhead hunting, and his dogs. Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Randle and Mary Smith; brother, Ray Jr., Johny and Lonnie Smith.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Shana Young Smith; daughter, Abigail Rhodes; brothers, Ronnie Smith ( Sharon) and Donnie Smith (Karen); numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, Rusty Smith, Michael Smith, Dusty Smith, Larry Clemons, Shane Rhodes and Ryan Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Franks, David Haddock, and Terry Brown.
