Two-Vehicle Accident Takes Life Of One Person Sends Three Others To Hospital

JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person and sent three others to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, has claimed the life of a Parrish man.

Tony O. Roberts Jr., 50, was fatally injured when the 1995 Chevrolet Metro he was driving collided head-on with the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Lee S. Hicks, 51, of Parrish. Roberts was pronounced deceased at the scene. Hicks was injured and transported to Baptist Health Walker Hospital in Jasper for treatment.

Passengers in the Chevrolet Malibu, Jody H. Hicks, 19 and Jenna L. Hicks, 22, both of Parrish, were injured and transported to Baptist Health Walker Hospital.

The crash occurred on Alabama 269 near the 39 mile marker, less than one mile south of Jasper, in Walker County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
