Clarence Clifford ‘Clif’ Corum, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, passed away August 8, 2025, at the age of 100. He was born in Antlers, OK to Clarence Clifford Corum, Sr and Mary Elizabeth Massey Corum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 74 years, Faye Chenault Corum; his son, Steve Van Corum; and his brother, Frank Massey Corum.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Patterson (Kell); daughter-in-law, Debbie Corum; grandchildren, Travis Corum (Mary), Brianna Mosley (Chad), Kelly Johnson (Brett), and Daniel Patterson (Susan); 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Andia; sisters-in-law, Betty Bunch and Jo Chenault; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Corum was a combat wounded veteran, serving with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific during World War II. He participated in the capture of Iwo Jima and was awarded the Purple Heart. Clif retired from NASA at Redstone Arsenal.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2025, at Maple Hill Cemetery with Harold Kelly officiating.
