Ms. Shelby Criscoe Rikli, age 74, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. Born on February 8, 1951, Shelby was the beloved daughter of the late James Shelby Criscoe and Mary Virginia Reed Criscoe. She was a former resident of the Morgan City/Union Hill community in Morgan County.
Shelby was married to Clark Rikli, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2017. She earned a bachelor’s degree and built a dedicated career as a bookkeeper in the automotive industry.
Shelby was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting, and painting ceramics in her free time.
Shelby is survived by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary N. and Tracy Trussell and Carol and Donnie Knighten; nephew, Justin Knighten; niece, Brittany Moore; great niece, Lizzie Moore; and great nephew, Hunter Moore.
Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Rikli, as well as her parents, James and Virginia Criscoe.
The family has chosen to honor Shelby’s wishes for cremation with no public services. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is honored to assist the family.
