With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Camme Wright-Lane, aged 62, of Elkmont. She left us peacefully on Monday, July 28th, 2025, at her home. Born on August 30th, 1962, in Athens, Camme was the daughter of James “Jimmy” Howard Wright and Jerry Daphine Todd.
Camme is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lane, and her father, Jimmy Wright, along with her stepmother, Sandy Wright. She leaves behind her brother, Don Wright, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jerry Todd, and grandparents, Effie and Alvie Wright.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Camme’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 31st, 2025, from 12:00-1:45 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Steve Dorning officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hodges Cemetery, with pallbearers Norris Lane, Bobby Lane, Bobby Ray Atchley, Robbie Grams, Randy Stanford, and Josh Goff, and honorary pallbearers Ronnie Appleton and Don Lane, honoring her with their service.
Camme was a proud daughter of Limestone County and dedicated over 12 years of service to SAIC. Her passion for Alabama Football was well-known, and she found joy in tending to her flowers and garden. Her brother affectionately dubbed her the “Butter Bean Queen.” Camme’s favorite retreats were the beach and the mountains, where she spent cherished moments with family and friends. Known for her generous spirit, she was constantly surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
As we remember Camme, we celebrate a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She touched the hearts of many, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
