Mrs. Cindi WilliamsCindi June Cox Williams, a beloved member of the Lexington community, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on October 21, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Nina Cox.

Cindi’s life was marked by numerous contributions and passions. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she dedicated herself to serving the community. Additionally, she actively participated in the Chamber of Commerce and the Library Board, showcasing her commitment as a civic leader.

Cindi loved physical therapy and enjoyed a career as a PTA for many years. She also loved to travel with Johnny, especially to the Western US, and recently enjoyed trips in their RV. Cindi found great joy in missions with Samaritan’s Purse, dedicating a significant portion of her time to this worthy cause in recent years. But, most of all, she was known to be found on any given day at Ace Hardware with a helpful smile and one of her beloved golden retrievers.

Cindi is survived by her husband of 36 years, Johnny Steve Williams, and three stepchildren: Hilary (Aaron) Grissom, Sunnie (James) Dickson, and Steven (Cyndal) Williams. Grandchildren: Gabriel Grissom, Sophia Dickson, Samantha Grissom, Lincoln Dickson, and Nova Williams.

Cindi is also survived by her brother, Timothy Cox, of Omaha, Nebraska, and her sister, Mildred Gene Cox (Michael) Parks, of Crestview, Florida. Their extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews.

Cindi’s extended Ace Hardware family will also miss her greatly.

Cindi is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Nina (Cochran) Cox, her brothers, Rodney (Rusty) Cox and William (Bill) Cox, and her nephew, Nicholas Cox.
