Johnny Hill, age 69, of Empire, Alabama, passed away on July 3, 2025. Born on February 4, 1956, Johnny was a quiet soul who found joy in the simple things in life. He had a deep love for working on cars and anything mechanical—there was nothing he couldn’t fix if it had an engine. Whether in the garage or under the hood, Johnny was most at peace when surrounded by the sound of tools and the smell of motor oil.
Though he preferred solitude, those who knew Johnny knew him as loyal, kind-hearted, and fiercely devoted to the people and animals he loved. He shared a special bond with his mother, who preceded him in death, and he cherished the companionship of his dogs throughout his life.
Johnny is survived by his brother Gene Hill, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly. His quiet strength, sharp mechanical mind, and love for his family and pets leave behind a legacy of resilience and heart.
In honor of Johnny’s life, take a moment to turn a wrench, listen to an old engine purr, or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon with those you love.
