Thelma Faye Slate, age 80 of Adams, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 17, 2025 after a brief illness. Faye was born September 3, 1944 in Hernando, Mississippi to the late Emerson and Katie Cleveland Jarrett.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 509 Walnut Street, Springfield, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be 10:30 am to service time on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, Tennessee with Faye’s grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
