Susan Paulette Edmondson Wallace, 78, Cherokee passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Dwight Rivers officiating. Interment will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Susan was a member of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association, Cherokee Saddle Club, Cherokee Rescue Squad and she was a retired school librarian for Cherokee Middle School. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Jack A. Wallace; parents, Paul and Montez Edmondson; brother, Johnny Edmondson; sister, Linda Lee Kay.
She is survived by her son, Michael Wallace (Jamie); daughters, Melinda (Mindy) Wallace Cosby and Melissa (Missy) Hudson (Sean); grandchildren, Mark Jr. (Lisa), Matt, Layla, Josie, Lydia and Liam; great grandchildren, Amelia, Marco Bobby; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Wallace, Mark Wallace, Chuck Kay, Wade Turberville, Rick Adams and Jason Borden. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Tapp, Junior Williams and Jerald Wallace.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Harris Chapel Cemetery Fund in honor of Susan.
