It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diana Tutt Halsey who departed this life on July 11, 2025, at the age of 85 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Diana was born in 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee. She lived her early years in Paris, Tennessee, graduating from J.W. Grove High School. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sibling, friend, and a cherished member of the Huntsville Community.
Diana lived a life marked by her devotion to the church. She will be remembered most for involvement in multiple charities, a long career at Clearview Cancer Institute, love for animals, delicious Christmas treats, involvement with their church, and a helping spirit.
Diana is survived by her brother, Richard Tutt (Dolores); sons, Greg Harris and Bill Harris (Pam); grandchildren, Amanda Blankenship (James) and Misty Fisher (Richard); as well as her great-grandchildren, Jake, Sophie, Shelby, Allison, and Aiden. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Patye Tutt.
A service to celebrate Diana’s life will be held on Saturday July 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her name to any Huntsville Animal Shelter, Robin Stewart Memorial Fund (c/o The Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Huntsville, AL) or St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Huntsville, AL.
The family wants to send a special “Thank You” to the many neighbors who cared for and assisted Diana. You all held a special place in her heart.
