Dr. Daniel Gene Donalson, age 72, of Rock Island, TN passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 13, 1952 in Holland, Michigan. He was a history professor at the University of Denver and Red Rocks Community College in Colorado. He was an author of 2 books; Thin Man and The Espionage and Sedition Acts of World War II and worked for NASA in the space program. He is preceded in death by his parents Marion Nathan Donalson and Alyce Ann Vanderdenburg, and sister Cindy Donalson Terry.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Maria Donalson, children Sarah Donalson, Steven Donalson, step-sons Marc Grable and Nichals Grable, sister Cathy Ann Smith, brothers Carter Thomas Donalson, Timothy Ernest (Teresa) Donalson, step-brothers Ricky Bracewell, Marcus Bracewell, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Dr. Donalson is being cremated and no service is planned at this time.
