Juliette “Julie” Welch Black, or better known as JuJu, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 63.
JuJu owned and operated “Julie’s Café” in Belgreen for many years. She loved her family. She loved fishing and being outdoors. She loved singing and playing music. She loved to cook, and everyone loved her award-winning chocolate oatmeal cookies and her chicken and dumplings.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, Zachary Black, Jacob Black (Jessica); grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Grady, Jaley Mae, Anne Daily, and Sarah Alice; mother, Becky Welch; sisters, Helen Nichols, Gail Edwards; brother-in-law, Danny Black (Vickie), sister-in-law, Joyce Black; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Black; father, Urcil “Gunnie” Welch; father & mother-in-law, William & Elsie Black; and brothers, Roger Welch and Roy Welch.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Belgreen Cemetery. Bro. Marvin Morrow will speak at the service.
The pallbearers will be Shannon Welch, Aaron Welch, Jesse Edwards, Trent Edwards, Andrew Bray, and Kirk Newell.
