Jerry Dale Buse, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home in Mantachie. He was born September 8, 1941, in Itawamba County, to Jessie and Minnie Bell Buse. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon and Church treasure for many years. He retired as a supervisor from Krueger Metal after 25 years of service. After retirement, he started Buse Guns and Ammo, which he owned and operated for almost 35 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and playing dominoes. He loved gardening and giving it away to people. He had a keen sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He enjoyed telling stories to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he was a great listener. He always had words of wisdom for those in need, and he was kind and loving to all who knew him. He loved God, his family, and his Church family dearly.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patty Buse; two daughters, Tae Jackson (Lonnie) of Mantachie and Susan Campbell ( Mike) of the Pratts community; two sons, Chris Buse (Dian), and Matthew Buse ( Shanna), both of Mantachie; fifteen grandchildren, Carrie Shehane (Michael), Dewayne Guin (Jennifer), Thomas Guin (Meghan), Jonathan Guin (Katelyn), Jesse Guin (Miranda), Holly Guin, Justin Campbell (Ashley), Ethan Campbell (Jaleesa), Christina Lindley (Heath), Elizabeth Churchwell (Graham), Bethany Buse, Macy Buse, Case Buse, Reed Buse, and Kyle Buse; Twenty-one great grandchildren, Makennah Guin, Hannah Guin, Liam Guin, Mila Guin, Sayla Guin, Wyatt Guin, Laylah Guin, Connor Campbell, Walker Campbell, Reese Campbell, Vanessa Campbell, Aiden Lindley, Malachi Lindley, Sarai Lindley, John Ezra Lindley, Cooper Churchwell, Eli Shehane, Essie Shehane, Charlotte Guin, Zera Tae Guin, and Baby Guin on the way.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bro. Castor Buse, Tommy Buse, and Shirley Buse; one sister, Charlie Mae Lamb; and his parents.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Buse, Phillip Buse, and Jeff Buse.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
