Tommy Hugh Holley, 82, of Sumiton passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of New Horizon Funeral Home in Dora, AL. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to services. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Tommy was a member of East Walker Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and bible school teacher for more than 40 years.
Tommy was born on September 20, 1942 in Coal Valley, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tim and Edith Holley.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Holley, children Kelley and Ryan Black, and Kim and Stephen Spivy, grandchildren Logan and Briley Black, Holley Beth and Ethan O’Rear, and Gracie and Will Spurlin, great granddaughter Greer Black, brother Joe Paul Holley, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be officiated by Barry Bennett and Jesse Claunch. Pallbearers will be Ralph Armstrong, Joey Hill, Kevin Holley, Paul Creel, John D’Ambrose, and Michael Jones. The elders and deacons of East Walker Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Childhaven Christian Children’s Home, Cullman, AL and Sumiton Fire and Rescue.
