Mr. Bobby Earl Turner, age 85, of Vinemont, AL and formerly of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr. Turner was born September 13, 1939, in Vernon, AL, to the late Berry Edgar and Lula (Gann) Turner.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962, and worked as a machine operator.  He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Vernon, and was also preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Blake Turner, and two sisters, Eleanor Sanders and Barbara Hollenbeck.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 13, at 3:00 PM, at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Vernon, with Joe Beckon officiating.  Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Michelle Moore of Vernon, AL and Rita Vanessa (Mike) Dean of Vinemont, AL; one step-son, Joe Wilson; five grandchildren, Cortney (Michael) Merchant, Christopher Hill, Keaton (Caroline) Dean, Presley Dean, and Easton Dean; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Bobbie Dean, Landen Merchant, Rylen Merchant, and Avery Lula Merchant; one sister, Kaye Payne; and a host of other family, friends, and cousins.
