Geraldine “Jerry” Dillon, age 76, a resident of Pleasant Shade, TN, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. .
Born on September 16, 1948 in Giles County, Tennessee, Geraldine was the daughter of the late J.B. McConnell and the late Ina Taylor McConnell. Geraldine embodied a servants’ heart and would help anyone in need. This led to her working as a special needs bus driver for metro Nashville and Smith County Tennessee. She loved working in her flower garden and living a simple life on the farm. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be tremendously missed by those who knew and loved her. She was a cherished and well-loved friend to many.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Kim (Clayton) Adams, Angela Morkel, sons, Marty (Cindy) Dillon, Kevin Dillon, John Lowell (Leslea) Dillon, brothers, Richard O”Neal McConnell, Freddie McConnell, Lannie McConnell, sisters, Linda Sue (Jackie) Erving, Carolyn “Cookie” McConnell, Joannie Wright, sister in law, Linda Jane McConnell, grandchildren, Jeremy, Monica, Matthew, Magen, Kayla, Gage and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Dillon, son, Alan Dillon, and brother, Danny Wayne McConnell.
