Beverly Ann Hays Sims, age 75, of Albertville passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Crestwood Hospital.
She is survived by Gary Sims, husband of 56 years, daughters; Stephanie and Corey Hill of Douglas and Lori and Wesley Mann of Nixon Chapel and son; Joel and Jan Sims of Guntersville. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Logan (Haley) Mann, Rhea (Dillon) Lawrence, Redden (Emily) Hill, Ramsey (Jacee) Wright, Hayden (Alexis) Mann, Jacob Sims, Jaylee Sims, Jenna Sims and Joelie Sims, great-grandchildren; Lilah Rose Mann, Laith Mann, Cora Wright, Sloan Wright, Wrenley Mann, Jamie Mann, Theodore Lawrence, Ellie Kay Hill, Benjamin Lawrence, Guy Wright and Whitten Mann, sister; Sue Musso of Hueytown and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sims is preceded in death by her parents; Walter “Bill” and Eula V. Hays of Bessemer.
Her funeral will be at Pleasant Hill #2 Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025. She will lie in state at the church from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service. She will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Jeff Sims, Bro. Chris Reaves, Bro. Joey Grant and Bro. Randy Dorsett will officiate. Pallbearers will be Logan Mann, Hayden Mann, Redden Hill, Jacee Wright, Dillon Lawrence, Jacob Sims, Caleb Sims and Taylor Sims. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
