Brother Marvin Clemons was born on February 27, 1925 in Cullman County, Alabama. Surrounded by family at his residence in Bremen, AL, he passed from this life June 4, 2025 at the age of 100 years, 3 months, and 8 days.
Celebration of life services will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2pm at Antioch Baptist Church located at 420 County Road 18 in Bremen, AL. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2025 beginning at 5pm at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, and from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church prior to the funeral services. Southern gospel class singing will begin at 1:30pm. Singing will be directed by Danny and Vickie Aldridge and Jerome Kilgo. Burial will be at Cullman City Cemetery located at 9th Street SW, Cullman, AL 35055. Daniel Barnett, Tommy Graves, Phillip Starnes, and Michael Stricklin will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
He is survived by two Daughters-Daranda C. Williams, Laurita C. Hogland and her husband Steve; two Granddaughters-Stephanie H. Bales, Jana W. Swindle and her husband Jason; Great Grandchildren-Aerial B. Bailey (Chase Aldridge), Cody Bales, Cole Bales; Great-Great Grandson-Daxton Reed Aldridge; Sister-in-law-Shirley Drummond; and many nieces nephews and friends.
Bro. Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved Wife of 60 years-L.V. Drummond Clemons; his Grandson-Brandon Delane Williams; Grandson-in-law-Christopher Norman Bales; his Parents-Arthur and Lula Stewart Clemons; Brothers-Ottis, Oscar, Carlis, Ervin, and Clarence; Sisters-Tressie Pruitt, Florence Perkins, Maurine Fields, Jeweldean (infant), and an unnamed infant.
