Jerry Dale Kizer, 57, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at NMMC-Pontotoc, MS. Jerry was a devoted husband of almost 38 years, a loving daddy, poppy, son, and brother. Those who knew him, knew he was as hardheaded as they come, a jokester by nature but was also secretly one of the most loving and tender-hearted people you could meet. An entrepreneur, on any given day you may find him operating heavy equipment or building something. He enjoyed taking road trips with his wife, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Fronie Kizer, his mother, Betty Mathis, children, Ashley Coxey(Michael) and Jessica Young(Andy), grandchildren, Katie Young, Avery Houston, Daniel Young, Cameran Coxey, Zach Young, BJ Young, Ashton Coxey, Drew Young, Toni-Grace Coxey, Kizer Young, and Andi-Rae Young, and his siblings, Betty Swords(Gene), Mossie Smith(Terry), Kathy Swords(Terry), Karen Onsby(Dale), William Mathis(Donna), Samantha Reed, and Roy-Jackson Kizer Junior.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Jack Kizer, stepmom, Brenda Kizer, father, Carl Jerry Mathis, and his brothers, Andy Kizer, Rickey Kizer, and David Kizer.
Services will be Sunday, June 8, 2025, held at 4PM at Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Potts Camp, MS with visitation beginning at 1PM. Rev. Steven Wilson, Rev. Jonathon Vazquez, and Rev. John McAlister will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Brad Blackard, Jason Jaggers, Kenny Work, Jerry Swords, Dusty Mathis, and Paul Patterson.
