MARION COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the lives of two people and sent another to hospital with injuries:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. Sunday, June 1, has claimed two lives.
The driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, Sean N. Miller, 26, of Winfield and a passenger in the Chevrolet, Adam J. Silva, 21, of Winfield, were both fatally injured when the Chevrolet left the roadway and overturned. Neither Miller nor Silva were using seat belts at the time of the crash. Miller and Silva were both ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
An additional passenger in the Chevrolet, Abigail R. Silva, 24, also of Winfield, was injured and airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 31 mile marker, in Marion County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
