Dennis Ray Lesley, 71, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his home. He was born August 15, 1953 in Tupelo, MS. He worked in the furniture industry most of his life, mostly at Hickory Hill and Kellex. He enjoyed horses, drag racing, and working on old cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Bobby Humphres and Ricky Lesley officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Cynthia Lesley; his mother, Peggy West of Peppertown; two daughters, Lawana Thompson and April McDonald (Chris); one grandson, Lane Thompson; two brothers, Tommy Lesley (Cathy) and Randy West (Renee), all of Mantachie; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Phillip Lesley and Terry Wayne Lesley; one granddaughter, Karley Rae McDonald; and his father, Gordon Ray Lesley.
Pallbearers will be Terry Joe Hardin, Marty Gray, Ronald Scales, Eric Brigman, Kenny Young, and Shane West.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Williamson, Kim Glissen, Robbie Kilgo, Cricket Carpenter, Sherry Gordon, Tara Johnson, and Harold Martin.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
