Floyd was a friend to all he met. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. There are countless stories of his kindness and generosity across the community. He was a kind and loving grandfather. He was known as Papa, Uncle Floyd, as well as Floyd. He worked many years as a certified master plumber and master gas fitter in Russellville and the surrounding area. He was a long-time member of Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church and also attended God Cares for You Worship Center in his later years. If you ran across Floyd, he was probably at church, sitting on his front porch, eating at the cafe, visiting the hardware store, plumbing a house, or maybe even out fishing. He will be greatly missed by his grandsons, family, and friends.

The family would like to thank all those who checked in on Floyd in his later years. Thanks to all the friends he met at Village Square. A special thanks to the friends and staff at Arabella Health & Wellness and Hospice of North Alabama
