Warren County native John Wayne Sparkman, age 72, was born August 27, 1952 and died May 26, 2025 at the Webb House Retirement Center, Smithville, Tennessee, following an extended illness.
John attended Dibrell School and was a graduate of Warren County High School, class of 1970. He was also a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN. He was of the Baptist faith, served in the U.S. Army, and was a former employee of Highway’s, Inc.
John was the son of the late Elzie Thomas Sparkman and Nettie Lillian Womack Sparkman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Sue Trusty Sparkman, son, Jace Sparkman, brother, Joe Edward “Eddie” Sparkman and nephew, Brad Sparkman.
He is survived by sister Ann (Bobby) Romans, sister-in-law, Linda Killian Sparkman, niece Edrie (Travis) Wann, great nephew, Trad Sparkman Wann, brother-in-law Johnny Trusty and nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Per his request, John was cremated and no immediate services are planned at this time.
