Willard Earl Talton
July 14, 1942 – May 26, 2025
Willard “Earl” Talton, age 82, of Albertville, AL, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 12:01 PM, surrounded by the love of his family. Earl was the heart of his family and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Born on July 14, 1942, Earl was the son of the late Nina Fitz and Earl-David Talton. He was preceded in death by seven beloved siblings and leaves a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering generosity.
Earl is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Margie L. Clem Talton. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and family. He is also survived by his brother, MC Talton; his sons, Roger (Angie) Talton and David (Melecia) Talton; and honorary son Mark (Crystal) Landman.
A proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, Earl was affectionately known for his big heart and the deep pride he took in watching his family grow. He also claimed three honorary grandchildren and loved them just the same.
Earl had a deep appreciation for the little things in life. He loved watching hummingbirds gather outside his window, driving through the state park searching for deer, and spending time at the casino for a bit of excitement. But more than anything, he treasured his family and gave freely to anyone in need, offering the shirt off his back without hesitation.
Earl’s legacy is one of selflessness, strength, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral services will be held at Albertville Memorial Chapel, 3 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025. He will be laid to rest at Martling Cemetery.
