Judy Faye Bishop Hooton died peacefully at the North MS Medical Center on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was 73 years old. Judy was born June 18, 1951, to the late Robert and Effie Bishop in Baldwyn, MS. A lifelong resident of Guntown, MS, she lived with her daughter Lacey and grandson Riley. They were her everything.
She was a hard worker in her younger years and worked at the cleaners in Tupelo for nearly 20 years. Her passion was cooking and spending time with her daughter and grandson. They had a bond like no other.
Services will be private to the family. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is honored to serve the family.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Lacey Myhand Harris (Evan) of Pontotoc, grandson Riley Myhand of Pontotoc, and two of eight brothers and sisters, Buddy Jake Bishop (Linda) of Georgia, and Lorenzo ‘Butch’ Bishop (Karen) of Georgia.
The family wishes to thank NMMC ICU Unit for their excellent care as Judy’s health declined.
