Wanda Ashby Williams Profile PhotoWanda Ashby Williams of Meridianville, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2025 peacefully from her residence. She was 100 years old. Mrs. Williams was originally of the Flat Creek community in Bedford County, Tennessee. She loved her church family at the Meridianville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a proud graduate of a women’s college in Tennessee.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Williams, by her son, Butch Stafford, by her father, David “Dave” Hudson Ashby, by her mother, Clara Woodard Ashby, and by her sisters: Christine Kennedy, Flossie Couser, and Wilsie Cowart.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Patty Weal and husband, Michael; by her grandson, Patrick Weal; she is also survived by her great-nephews: Randy and Ken, her church family, and many other friends.

There will be a gathering on Saturday from 9am until 11am at Hazel Green Funeral Home for friends and family. A graveside service will then be held at 12:15pm at Rosebank Cemetery in the Flat Creek community of Bedford County, Tennessee.
