Obituary of Clydie Levell McDonaldClydie Levell McDonald, age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Pontotoc Health and Rehab, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 13, 1934, to Clarence Andrew McDonald and Lilly Dowdy McDonald. Clydie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a brick mason for many years and took great pride in teaching many young men the craftsmanship of brick laying. Clydie attended all the activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren he could, from pageants, school programs and especially sporting events. Family was very important to him, and he was very proud of all of his family.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.J. McVay and Rev. Jody Rock officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

Survivors include his children, Lisa Bryant, Scotty McDonald and Teresa Bagwell; six grandchildren, Brandy Martin (Bob), Jason Bryant (Kayla), Jonathan McDonald (Katlynn), Chad Bagwell (Amber), Jeremy McDonald (Ree) and Audra Cissna (Brandon); twelve great-grandchildren, Gracie Black (Chris), Tucker McDonald, Hallie “Turtle” McDonald, Piper McDonald, Anna Lane Cissna, Sawyer Bryant, Cole McDonald, Hadley Cissna, Lily Bagwell, Millie Bryant, Sammy Bagwell and Ashley Martin; Brother-in-laws, Charles Lepard and Jimmy Lepard; extended family members, Caleb Sansing and Miranda Lester (Catlin); and special caregiver, Betty Stockard; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Gean Lepard McDonald; his son, Larry McDonald; daughter in law, Stephanie Tucker McDonald and Pat McDonald Robbins; son in law, Ricky Bagwell; two sisters, Lucille Robbins, and Avis Williams; three brothers, Eurie McDonald, Elaine McDonald, Cecil McDonald; sister in law, Thelma Raby and brother in law, Leon Lepard.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bryant, Jonathan McDonald, Jeremy McDonald, Chad Bagwell, Bob Martin, and Brandon Cissna. Honorary pallbearers will be Catlin Lester, Jimmy McDonald, Phillip Williams, and Terry McCain.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M., Monday and from 12 to 1 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
