Funeral service for Robert Steele, 74, will be Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Turner and Jason Day officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Steele passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1950, in Morgan County, to Floyd Steele and Clercy Sellers.
He was employed by Automatic Screw and retired after 30 years of service. He also was a farmer. Mr. Steele was a loving father, and grandfather, was a hardworking man, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his chickens.
Preceding him in death were his parents and several siblings.

Brothers – Sam Steele and
Shorty Steele (Starlon)
Sisters- Sarah Hawthorn (Lawrence),
Stella King and
Nadene Carver (Larry)
Six Grandchildren – Randall Steele, Ross Steele, Lily Mote, Hannah Oliver, Alli Harrington (Corey), and Kolten Day.
Three Great Grandchildren – Ada Mote, Evie Mote and Ivy Harrington.
Pallbearers will be Ross, Randall, Corey, Heath, Scotty and Kolten.
