Tony Moorehead, age 67 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 31, 1957, in Winchester to the Lona Juanita (Duke) Starnes. Tony was the owner of Tony’s Pool Hall in Winchester, and he retired as a self-employed painter. Tony was always looking for a way to wheel and deal and even worked on old cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing a game of pool, watching the weather channel and spending time with his family and pets. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Brown. Tony is survived by his children, Shane (Heather) Moorehead and Elijah White; grandchildren, Shayna, Hadlee and Knox; siblings, Billy (Jody) Starnes, Teresa Gifford, Pamela Arnold, Terenia Moorehead and Iva Moorehead; special friend, Dottye Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 4:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
