Ruby Christine King passed away on Tuesday. She was 69. Mrs. King was born on July 5, 1955 to Charles Henry and Dollie Mae Burgess. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked at New Market School for 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny King; her son, Ray King; her parents; her siblings: Patricia Hill, Charles Edward Burgess, Jerry Burgess, Mark Burgess, and Freeman Burgess;
Surviving family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Tina & Tim Walker; her sisters: Teresa (John) Carter and Lillie (Roger) Selby; her grandchildren: Christina King, James Walker (Courtney), Johnny Walker, Judith King, and Kayleen King; her great-grandchildren: Braston, River, Riley, Jamison, Gunner, Raiden, Owen, and Oakley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Brother Ben May officiating. Burial will then follow in Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Larry King, Eddie Hill, Kevin Burgess, Joe Santos, Ryan “Gus” Vickery, and Scott Cranfill.
