Joyce Ann McCrary Tomlinson, 82, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Senior Rehab and Recovery Center at Limestone Health Facility. Joyce was born on September 26, 1942, in Anderson, Alabama to Homer G. and Oshia Wade McCrary. Her and her husband, John Tomlinson, moved to California until he retired. After retiring in 2012, the couple moved back to Rogersville to be near family and friends. Joyce will be remembered for being a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation for Joyce will be Friday, April 25th from 11-12 at Rogersville Funeral Home, with funeral service following. Burial will be in McCartney Cemetery. Mickey Thornton will be officiating.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, John Tomlinson; parents, Homer G. and Oshia Wade McCrary; siblings, Leon (Dorothy) McCrary, Mildred (James) Hammond, Edward (Bonnie) McCrary, Millinea (Hank) Hammond, Virginia (Charles) Tomlinson; special friend, Dale Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara (Jerry) Helmer, Tracey (Mickey) Thornton; Tonya Leon; grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, Shasta, Allison, Victoria, Trent, Hollie, Amanda, Damon; numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Paulette Meredith; a host of nieces and nephews.
