Ronald DeWayne OliverRonald DeWayne “Ron” Oliver, 80 of Sumiton, AL, passed away Sunday April 20, 25 at his residence.
Ron was a native of Hamilton, IN. He retired after 40 years with Navistar (formerly International Harvester). He was very loyal to his church; Hamilton Wesleyan Church and he was also an Elder at Kalvary Temple.
One of his greatest enjoyments in life was fishing with his grand kids. He was an also an avid golfer. He loved March Madness. His favorite team were the Purdue Boilermakers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Oliver; his parents, Lyman and Hazel Oliver; his brother, Paul Oliver and his nephew, Chad Barfell.
Survivors include his children, Ronald Oliver, Jr., Julie Neer (Steve) and Jason Oliver (Sarah Bechtol); grandsons, Justin, Caleb, Tyler and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Adrian, Naomi and Elliott; brothers, Raymond Oliver (Judy) and Kenneth Oliver (Ellen); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Cremation services are being provided. Memorial services and interment will take place in his hometown in Indiana.
