Debra Sue Calhoun, age 67, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at her residence after an extended illness.
Debra was a loving wife, a great mother, and a devoted grandmother. She loved babies and everyone loved her. She was known for making the best cheeseburgers at Gas Mart West (Old Mike Green’s Store). She was a strong woman and loved roses as well as enjoyed watching the hummingbirds.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 51 years, William Rodney Calhoun, Sr., her children, William Rodney Calhoun, Jr., Denese Calhoun, Wendy Calhoun Jackson (Chuck); grandchildren, Olivia Wallace (Heath), Will Calhoun, Maxwell Calhoun; great grandbaby, Sullivan Wallace; siblings, Brenda Willingham, Bobby DeVaney, Rhonda DeVaney, Peggy Heidelberg; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Eloise (Fretwell) DeVaney, brothers, James Ted DeVaney and Kenneth DeVaney.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. The burial will be at DeVaney Cemetery in Russellville.
The pallbearers will be Chuck Jackson, Heath Wallace, Tracy Terrell, Jason DeVaney, Derrick Willingham, Will Calhoun, Tyler DeVaney, and Shane DeVaney.
