Johnny Mitchell Waldo  Johnny Mitchell Waldo was born November 20th, 1977, in New Albany, Mississippi.  He went to be with his heavenly father Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at the age of 47, in Oxford, Mississippi after a 10-month battle with cancer. He is survived by the love of his life, Christina, whom he married on July 1, 1996, and two precious children, their daughter Destiny and their son Channing. He is also survived by his parents, Mitchell and Diane Waldo, his sister Jonie (Waldo) Dover, Aunts and Uncles:  Joe and Rhonda Bryant of Pontotoc, Clara Parsons of Cape Canaveral, FL, Allen & Mindy Kilgore of Douglasville, GA and Harold and Terri White of Randolph, MS, his brother-in-law and close friend Patrick Wood, and a host of many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harvey Nell Waldo and Mary (Waldo) White, and James Bryant and Christine (Bryant) White, and several aunts and uncles.
Johnny loved the Lord and lived his life in a way that displayed that love.  He was a faithful member of Connect Church in Tupelo, MS.  He adored his wife and kids, and it was evident to the people in his life that he closely followed God’s instructions for a husband and father.  Aside from his love for the Lord and his family, Johnny had a passion for sports, especially Ole Miss football.
Johnny attended school at South Pontotoc.  He was a dedicated employee of Southern Motion in Pontotoc, MS for over 25 years.
Pallbearers are Daniel White, Brandon Page, Zack Murrell, Kojack Waldo, Reed Reynolds, Vic Bridgman, Terry Wages and Michael Easter.   Honorary pallbearers are Junior Akers and Brandon Hecht.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Green Valley Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS, with the service immediately following. Burial will follow in Guinn Cemetery.
