Fred Edward Williams Jr.Fred Edward Williams, Jr, age 71, a resident of the Pine Lake community of Arab, Alabama passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at Marshall Medical Center North.

Fred was born December 9, 1952 in Calhoun County, AL. His parents were Fred Edward Williams, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Stewart Williams. He and wife, DiAndrea Elliott, have shared twelve years together. Fred earned his bachelor’s degree and had served in the Alabama National Guard. He worked as a project engineer for Atrion formerly known as Ryder International.

Fred made family a priority, especially his thirteen grandchildren. He loved life and enjoyed traveling, scuba diving and was a very talented artist. He also had a real talent for landscaping and prided himself on his beautiful gardens.

Fred’s surviving family members include: wife, DiAndrea E. Williams; son and daughter in law, Chris Baggett, Jr and Amanda; daughters and sons in law, Caroline Urquidez and Gabe, Leslie McNutt and Adam, Lauren Bloodworth and Ethan; sisters, Phyllis Shaddix (Pat Wayne) and Donna Truitt; thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fred, Sr. and Dot Williams and his sister, Pat Jerrell.

Services for Fred will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Family, friends and guests will gather to honor, reminisce, and share stories from 1:00 until 2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm and /officiated by Brother Mike Green. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Escorting Fred to his final resting place will be John Elliott, II, Mark Elliott, Gabe Urquidez, Adam McNutt, Chris Baggett, Jr. , Ethan Bloodworth, Sam Howard (Honorary), Dewayne Hollaway, and Casey Jerrell (Honorary). In lieu of flowers consider donations to https://misionvidanueva.info. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
