Florence Louise Baldy, age 78, of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 10, 1947, in Double Springs, Alabama to Toncey and Luevenia Elliott. Louise loved the Lord, and she loved her family. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir, and help with the children’s choir and Vacation Bible School. Louise also loved to spend time traveling. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Ron Horton will officiate. Louise is survived by her daughter, Kristina (David) Kirkpatrick, granddaughters, Kirsten (Charlie) Scheel, Anna (Kyle) Ham, great-grandchildren, Grayson and Maebry Ham; sister, Carolyn Hood; nieces and nephews, Donald Jackson, Greg Baldy, Gina Keplinger, Tony Lewis, Terry Lewis, Derek Baldy, Wayne Baldy, Kimberly Harrison, Chris Elliott, Elizabeth Williamson, and a host of other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christie Joe Baldy; parents, Toncey and Luevenia Elliott; brothers, Jimmy Dale Elliott, Jack Elliott; and sister, Jewel Chaffin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
