Lendon Mastin, affectionately known as Catfish, was born on May 14, 1951, and lived life to the fullest with an adventurous spirit until his passing on February 26, 2025, at the age of 73.

A modern-day nomad, Lendon traveled extensively, immersing himself in diverse cultures and experiences. His journeys weren’t just about reaching destinations; they were about collecting stories and forming connections along the way. Friends and family fondly remember his tales of far-off places, each narrated with a twinkle in his eye and a passion that was truly infectious.

Lendon’s zest for life was evident in every aspect of his being. He shared meals with strangers who became friends and relished the beauty of sunsets in unfamiliar places. He lived life to the fullest, without hesitation or reservation. His philosophy was simple: life is a grand adventure meant to be explored with an open heart and an open mind.

Lendon is survived by his loving children, Kelita Moore, Saleem Mastin, Jamal Mastin, and Blondell S Sayavong. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Cleazell Brown Roberson, Steven Mastin, Judy Thompson, Eddie Mastin, his Uncle Clemon Carter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives.

Lendon was preceded in death by his mother, Cleo Mastin, and father Eddie Jean Mastin, as well as his grandmother Ida Carter, sister Blondell Mastin, and brother Bennie James Mastin.
