Gary Lynn Lindsey Caldwell, 71, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his home. He grew up in Pontotoc County and served in the U.S. Marines from 1973-1977. After his time in the military, he worked at the Pontotoc hospital as an EMT until 1989. Finally, he spent time as a truck driver exploring the country. He loved art and enjoyed spending time with his boys and grandchildren. Also, in his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Caldwell, his sons, Joshua Caldwell, and Christopher Caldwell (Leslie), his grandchildren, Tatiana Caldwell, Jazmyne Caldwell, Yzabella Caldwell, Hunter Caldwell, Lilly Caldwell, Ava Caldwell, and Tate Caldwell, nephews, Shawn Shettles, Luke Grisham, Kyle Shettles, Cody Shettles, and Cody Shettles, niece, Kathrine Shettles, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Caldwell, and his sisters, Diane Shettles and Denise Grisham.
Service will be held at 3PM on Sunday, April 6, 2025, with visitation beginning at 1PM. Bro. Wesley Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in West Heights Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Kyle and Cody Shettles, Justin and Alexander Sudduth, Reef Kennedy, and Matt Stringer.
