Willene McGriff Clark Willene McGriff Clark, age 93, of Arab, Alabama passed away at her residence on Sunday
morning, March 30, 2025. Willene was born in Cullman County, Alabama on February 23, 1932.
Her parents were Elbert McGriff and Annie Murphree McGriff.
Willene was raised in Holly Pond Alabama. She was a graduate of Holly Pond High School and
continued her education successfully achieving her associate’s degree. Having a heart of gold,
Willene dedicated her life to the lord, her family and her work. She was an active member of
Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. She dedicated her time to Brindlee Mountain Telephone
Company where she worked for many years and from which she later retired. She was an avid
collector of Blue Ridge Pottery and would attend pottery shows with her late husband, Glenn
Clark.
Family members Willene leaves behind to cherish their memories include her son, Marty Glenn
Clark; daughter, Paula Clark Blass; sister, Janice Hicks; grandchildren, Hope Key, Holli Blass,
Tabitha Bailey (Michael), Marisa Clark, Ryan Clark (Wari), Kyle Clark (Jayna), and six great
grandchildren.
Ms. Clark is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert McGriff and Annie Murphree McGriff;
beloved husband, Glenn Clark; son in law, William T Blass; brothers, Willard McGriff, Dal McGriff, and Dwight McGriff and sisters,Velma Armstrong and Joyce Love.
The family will be receiving friends and guests from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Sunday, April 6,
2025 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro.
Jamey Pruett officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
