Annie Margaret Holt Steadman Hemphill Dirigo,98, of Athens, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 08, 2025, at Goldton Assisted Living in Athens, Alabama.
She was born on Tuesday, November 09, 1926, in Lincoln County, Tennessee to Mr. Floyd Holt and Ona’ Mai Turner Holt.
Mrs. Dirigo was of the Baptist Faith, being a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She had a love for music and dancing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband; Calvin Steadman, second husband; Joe Hemphill, one sister; Ellen Holt (Arthur) Stewart Smith, two half-brothers; Henry Homer (Italyne) Holt, and John Marvin (Virgie) Holt, one half-sister; Ruth Lue Holt (John Willie) Ratley.
She is survived by her husband; John David Dirigo, one son; Tommy (Linda) Steadman, one Grandchild; Jennifer Kennedy, one Great-Grandchild; Remy Groves, a special nephew; Roger (Reta) Stewart as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, AL, beginning at 1:00 PM with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery, located in Blanche, Tennessee.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
